Austria: Judge Rules That Yodeling Offends Muslims

I forgot to place about this, despite its importance to exhibit the folly Western countries have fallen into:

The citizen, 63-year-old Helmut G., was told by the court that his yodeling displeased his next-door Islamic neighbors, who accused him of trying to handle and reproduce the call of the Muezzin.

In Islamic tradition, the Muezzin is the chosen person at a masjid who leads the call to prayer at weekday services and the five daily times for prayer from digit of the mosque’s minarets.

The Kronen Zeitung reported that he was fined 800 Euros after judges ruled that he could have proven to breach his neighbors and offense their belief.

Helmut G. clarified that “It was not my intention to reproduce or hurt them. I simply started to yodel a some tunes because I was in much a good mood.”

So, you go to live in Oesterreich and yodeling offends you? Are we insane?
